The Meizhou to Longchuan high-speed railway is making significant progress. In the future, travelers from Dongguannan Railway Station will be able to reach Meizhou and Heyuan in under two hours by high-speed rail. Recently, a yellow high-speed comprehensive testing train departed from Longchuanxi Station and headed to Meizhouxi Station, marking a critical phase in the railway's alignment joint-test. The next step will be the trial operation of the line. The Meizhou to Longchuan high-speed railway spans approximately 94 kilometers and is designed for speeds of up to 350 km/h. This double-track railway has four stations: Meizhouxi, Xingningnan, Wuhua, and Longchuanxi. It forms a crucial segment of the high-speed passenger corridor connecting eastern Guangdong with Central and Northern China, and is key infrastructure for integrating eastern Guangdong into the Greater Bay Area. Once operational, the Meizhou to Longchuan high-speed railway will cut the travel time from Meizhou to major Greater Bay Area cities like Guangzhou and Shenzhen to under two hours. For Dongguan residents eager to savor the flavors of Meizhou and Heyuan, the journey will be even quicker. They can board the Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway at Dongguannan Station, transfer at Longchuanxi Station to the Meizhou-Longchuan high-speed railway, and reach Meizhou in just about 1.5 hours!
