8月15日上午，第五届BIGGER艺术书展（东莞站）开幕式在南城街道海德·汇一城举行。荷兰王国驻广州总领事馆总领事安卓，市委宣传部副部长、市新闻出版局（版权局）局长蔡国康，荷兰王国驻广州总领事馆高级文化官员何宏，南城街道党工委副书记、办事处主任韩暖渠等领导嘉宾出席开幕式。
据了解，第五届BIGGER艺术书展（东莞站）以“翻滚一刻”为主题，于8月15日至20日在东莞南城海德·汇一城举行。活动期间将开展1个艺术市集、9个主题展览、5个特别呈现、2个艺术装置、1个艺术书奖、10场分享会及工作坊等合计20场活动，吸引了来自全国各地的一大批艺术家、插画师、设计师、创作者及18家国际寄售品牌的参与，展出作品涵盖二手书、绘本、杂志、版画、摄影等不同体裁。同时，精选超过500本来自多个海外出版社的艺术设计类书籍，展示国际多元的设计理念，展现文化交融的魅力。
On the morning of August 15, the opening ceremony of the fifth BIGGER Art Book Fair (Dongguan Station) was held at the Haide·Huiyi City in Nancheng Street. Attendees included the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, Andries, the Deputy Director of the Municipal Publicity Department and Director of the Municipal Press and Publication Bureau (Copyright Bureau) Cai Guokang, Senior Cultural Officer of the Dutch Consulate General in Guangzhou, He Hong, and the Deputy Secretary of the Nancheng Street Party Working Committee and Director of the Office, Han Nuanqu.
The fifth BIGGER Art Book Fair (Dongguan Station) is themed “Moment of Rolling” and runs from August 15 to 20 at Haide·Huiyi City in Dongguan Nancheng. During the event, there will be 1 art market, 9 themed exhibitions, 5 special presentations, 2 art installations, 1 art book award, and a total of 20 activities including 10 talks and workshops. The fair has attracted a large number of artists, illustrators, designers, creators from across the country, and 18 international consignment brands, showcasing works in various genres including second-hand books, picture books, magazines, prints, and photography. Additionally, over 500 art and design books from various overseas publishers are featured, demonstrating international design concepts and the charm of cultural integration.

As an important part of the 2024 South China Book Festival’s Dongguan venue, this year Nancheng has introduced the renowned domestic art book fair brand—BIGGEr Art Book Fair to Dongguan. Unlike traditional book fairs, this art book fair incorporates creative elements and exciting themed activities, providing art enthusiasts with a valuable platform for learning,交流, and inspiration. It showcases cutting-edge design works and artistic books from both domestic and international sources.
“Being one of the core areas connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Dongguan embodies creativity existing between ‘new and old,’ actively providing space for artistic imagination,” said Lin Gengli, founder of the BIGGER Art Book Fair. BIGGER Art Book Fair focuses on using art books as a medium to build diverse international art exchange bridges. Since its first exhibition in 2021, it has successfully held four sessions in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, with over 60 domestic and international publishers and more than 600 global exhibiting brands participating, attracting audiences from all over the world. This year’s fair chose Dongguan, an important city in the Greater Bay Area with both vitality and ambition, as a window to spread the passion and warmth of art throughout the entire Greater Bay Area and to help integrate Dongguan's trendy culture with its urban culture.

据介绍，自1926年以来，荷兰每年都会评选出33本书，并获得平面设计行业颁发的“最佳荷兰图书”称号。本次展览为观众呈现了2022—2023年精选的60多本设计、印刷、装订技术优秀的获奖书籍，旨在搭建起一座桥梁，让观众亲身体验创意的无限可能。
此外，本次艺术书展将视野聚焦在书籍、纸张与印刷上，专门策划了9个主题展览——二手书留下的时光印记、绘本的梦幻世界、杂志刊物中的多元视角、版画的精细工艺及摄影的瞬间永恒，多元主题与展品交相辉映，引领观众穿梭于不同艺术维度的奇妙世界。同时，展品中不乏利用环保材料精心打造的艺术品，它们以独特的形式诉说着对可持续未来的期许，让观众在欣赏艺术之美的同时，也能深刻体会到艺术与环境的和谐共生。
It is worth mentioning that this year’s art book fair has collaborated with numerous top Dutch designers, renowned publishers, and art studios to bring the "Most Beautiful Dutch Books" to Dongguan for the first time. 两大艺术装置很吸睛
近年来，国内艺术展与装置艺术领域蓬勃发展，艺术家们纷纷以装置艺术为媒介，巧妙融合个人艺术见解与生活哲思，展现独一无二的创意火花。
记者在艺术书展现场看到，书展上的两大艺术互动装置吸引了现场观众纷纷驻足拍照留念。据悉，本次艺术书展专门引进定制艺术装置《想法更重要》，以及互动体验装置《未画》。其中，《想法更重要》是BIGGER艺术书展携手荷兰设计工作室Studio Spass打造的纸本艺术装置，通过一个艺术装置将无形的“思想”具象化到日常生活中，让人人都熟悉的“纸”也拥有了无限的创意潜力。
据了解，为增强观众互动体验感，本次艺术书展还专门打造5场分享会和5场工作坊。在分享会中，观众可以听到创作者们讲述其创作思路，和创作者们面对面交流，分享独到见解，共探艺术奥秘。此外，工作坊汇集各领域资深导师，手把手传授技艺，在艺术家们的带领下体验版画、似颜绘等艺术形式的创作过程，让观众在书海遨游之余，也能亲手创造专属艺术佳作，收获满满。
此外，本次艺术书展设立以“意象力”为核心的艺术书奖BIGGER Award，打破艺术边界，释放创意潜能。该奖无作品类别之限，鼓励多样表达，启动6个不同奖项，且特别设立学生组，重在发掘年轻人的潜力。
In recent years, domestic art exhibitions and installation art have flourished, with artists blending personal artistic insights with life philosophy to showcase unique creative sparks. At the art book fair, two major art installations caught the attention of visitors. The fair introduced the custom art installation “Ideas Are More Important,” and the interactive experience installation “Unpainted.” “Ideas Are More Important,” created in collaboration with Dutch design studio Studio Spass, turns intangible “thoughts” into tangible forms in daily life using paper as a medium, demonstrating the boundless creative potential of paper. The “Unpainted” interactive installation allows visitors to engage with art in an immersive and interactive way.
Additionally, the fair has organized 5 talks and 5 workshops to enhance audience engagement. In the talks, visitors can hear creators discuss their creative processes and exchange insights with them. The workshops, led by experienced mentors, provide hands-on experiences in printmaking, portrait drawing, and other artistic techniques, allowing visitors to create their own art pieces and gain a sense of achievement.
The fair has established the “Imaginative Power” Art Book Awards to break artistic boundaries and unleash creative potential. The awards have no restrictions on categories and encourage diverse expression, with six different awards, including a special category for students, aimed at discovering young talents.
