自“湾区大号地铁”贯通后，大家心心念念的新白广城际也传来了好消息！今年年初，两项2024年重点建设项目计划先后发布，透露新白广城际将于今年竣工并开通初期运营！
Recently, the Zhenlong Station on the Xintang via Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou North Station Intercity Railway successfully passed its fire safety inspection, making it the first station to complete this inspection.
Earlier this year, the 2024 key construction project plans for Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City were released, revealing that the new intercity railway will be completed and put into initial operation this year. According to previous reports, the overall progress of the Xintang (excluding) to T2 (excluding) section of the intercity railway project has reached 87.1%.
The total length of the Xintang via Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou North Station Intercity Railway is about 78 kilometers, with 13 stations. It connects Qingyuan, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen, and even Hong Kong. The line will also allow transfers to multiple metro lines such as Line 14 and Line 21.
In the future, Dongguan residents will be able to access important transportation hubs such as Guangzhou North Railway Station, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, and Shenzhen Bao'an Airport via the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Railway.
