Job Overview
As a Computer Teacher you will be responsible for creating lesson plans to match the curriculum for
every academic year within the scope of grades and curricula assigned to you. You will also have to
collect and develop teaching materials to aid your teaching process. Furthermore, you will be
responsible for evaluating, grading and tracking the students’ progress throughout the course term. You
will also conduct regular and “special” assessments (midterms, finals, monthly exams, exams, ACT, ALevel, and other) in the computer lab with full preparation.
Apart from your teaching responsibilities, you should be able to actively participate in any
extracurricular or placement activities. Also, your role as a Computer Teacher includes advising and
guiding students during research or project work. Maintaining an orderly classroom environment and
ensuring laboratory cleanliness at all times are also your responsibilities.
We are looking for active professionals who will not only complete all assigned teaching and preparation
tasks related to computer science, but also at as an advisor and work with 3rd parties to support
teachers and students in matter related to IT, who will advise school about curriculum improvements,
who will support school with advice and expertise in IT related projects aimed at improving school’s
facilities.
Responsibilities
·Planning and developing lesson plans
·Collecting the required teaching materials and sources
·Actively participating in meetings, conferences, workshops and placement activities
·Guiding and boosting student’s confidence
·Encouraging healthy classroom behavior and maintaining an orderly environment
·Evaluating, grading projects / examinations and tracking student progress
·Ensuring laboratory cleanliness
·Act as first line support of technical laboratory related issues
·Assisting projects and tasks to students
·Discussing student progress and grade levels with parents
·Providing appropriate learning and reference materials to students
·Identifying varying teaching methods to help students learn better
·Updating curriculum as required
·Updating oneself with advancements in computer technology
·Conducting group and one-on-one training sessions
·Helping by advising students and staff members troubleshoot any technical issues
·Supervising students research / project work and
·Maintaining student’s attendance and performance records
·Performing administrative duties such as preparing student mark sheets when required
Requirements
√Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree is desirable
√Previous work experience as Computer Teacher in middle or high school or similar experience in the Education industry
√Excellent computer skills
√Knowledge of basic computer fundamentals and software
√A certificate in Computer Technology Teaching Training course is desirable
√Excellent presentation and speaking skills
√Ability to troubleshoot and critical thinking skills
√Ability to work collaboratively
