On July 9th, the Tonghao Project of Dongguan Metro Line 1, constructed by China Railway First Group, passed the unit project acceptance. This indicates that the main body of Dongguan Metro Line 1 has been completed, laying a solid foundation for the on-schedule opening of the entire line.
During this project acceptance inspection, the expert group visited multiple subway stations along Line 1 to inspect the quality of construction techniques and the performance of equipment installation on-site and conducted a comprehensive review of the internal documentation. After deliberation and assessment by all parties, the acceptance team unanimously agreed that the four-unit projects and six sub-unit projects included in this acceptance inspection were of qualified quality, and the usage functions and safety performance of the equipment fully met the requirements of the relevant design documents. They unanimously agreed to pass the unit project acceptance.
Dongguan Metro Line 1 is one of the city's regional backbone lines in the urban rail transit network. The project is planned to be constructed in three phases. Among them, the first phase of Line 1 starts from Dongguan West Railway Station and ends at Meitang Station, with a total length of 57.99 kilometers, passing through 10 towns and sub-districts. The first phase of the project has 25 stations and a designed maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Currently, the project is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2025.
In the future, Dongguan Metro Line 1 will also be interconnected with the rail transit systems of Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Citizens will be able to reach neighboring cities within an hour by rail transit, which provides important infrastructure support for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
