Shanghai Disney Resort said its main Shanghai Disneytown and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel will resume operations from Thursday, after a nearly three-month closure linked to recent coronavirus outbreaks. Some retail and park areas already opened last week.
Most shopping, dining and entertainment experiences will resume operations by Thursday, but the resort will operate at a limited capacity and with shortened operating hours, according to a resort announcement published on Tuesday.
The news quickly appeared in the hot search list on China’s Twitter-like Sina Weibo on Tuesday evening.
Disneyland and Toy Story Hotel will still remain closed, the announcement read, as its team “continues to prepare for the reopening of the entire resort.”
Thursday also marks the sixth anniversary of the resort’s opening in Shanghai.
