Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam, who attended the event, praised Dongguan in her speech. Lam stated, 'Dongguan has close ties with Hong Kong, with over eight thousand Hong Kong-funded enterprises currently operating in Dongguan.
前不久李家超在香港发表《施政报告》时指出，“海空货物联运”这项先导计划效果理想，香港将推动建设空港中心的永久设施。
“很高兴在广东省和东莞市政府支持下，香港机场管理局（机管局）和东莞港务集团已共同成立合资公司推动项目，预计物流园未来每年可处理100万公吨的货量。”李家超在本次活动的致辞中表示，据机管局评估，当物流园的永久设施和“海空货物联运”模式全面运作后，货运营运成本可较传统陆路节省约一半费用，货物处理时间更可节省三分之一。
李家超表示，香港在“一国两制”下拥有背靠祖国、联通世界的独特优势，是高度市场化、法治化的国际都会，营商环境世界一流，专业人才精通两文三语，信息和资金自由流通，监管制度和法规与国际接轨。
香港是国际金融、航运、贸易中心，正全力发展创新科技等新兴产业，贡献国家推动科技自立自强，建成科技强国的愿景。

中央去年公布的《河套规划》，支持大湾区集聚全球高端创新要素资源，汇聚国际顶尖科技人才，打造科技创新高地。
至于中央上月公布的《前海总规》，优化提升深圳前海深港现代服务业合作区的功能，推动香港的金融、法律、科技等现代服务业发展。
随着大湾区向高技术、高增值方向发展，香港会全力发挥“超级联系人”和“超级增值人”的双重角色，连接大湾区和世界市场，为整个大湾区提供香港的高增值专业服务，为国家高质量发展作出更大贡献。
