Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified foreign language teacher to provide speaking-focused tutoring for two Grade 7 students (twin sisters) who are studying the Unlock 1-2 . These students are preparing for an International School of Dongguan (ISD) interview at the end of the year and require personalized lessons to enhance their speaking skills and overall language proficiency. The tutoring sessions are to be conducted in-person on campus in Dongguan every Saturday afternoon for two hours.
Salary: The position offers 250 RMB per hour.
Responsibilities:
Speaking Practice: Focus on improving the students’ speaking fluency, pronunciation, and confidence in English, specifically to help them succeed in their upcoming ISD interview.
Interactive Lessons: Create engaging and interactive lessons to build conversational skills, incorporating a variety of speaking exercises, discussions, and role-playing scenarios relevant to interview settings.
Progress Monitoring: Track the students' progress over time, providing feedback on areas of improvement and adjusting the lesson plans as necessary to meet their language learning goals.
Cultural Context: Introduce cultural elements and real-life language use that may be relevant for their interview and future studies at ISD.
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience is required, preferably in teaching English speaking skills to middle school students.
Education Background: While no formal education degree is strictly required, relevant teaching qualifications or certifications (e.g., TEFL, TESOL) will be considered an advantage.
Visa: Applicants must have the necessary visa to work in China or be able to obtain one.
Compensation and Benefits:
Work Schedule: Two-hour sessions every Saturday afternoon. If the students are satisfied with the instruction, the contract will be extended for more tutoring sessions.
